He also surprised us with this awesome Valentine's card (this explains the red paint mommy found on his feet earlier in the week)!
Later in the week, we had Sunday brunch with mom-mom and pop-pop, and David feasted on mom-mom's hand:
And gave some hugs..
Then mommy & daddy took close-ups with the little guy to see if we could figure out who he resembles more. Verdict is still out (ok, ok, here he definitely looks more like daddy... :)):
And then unfortunately David came down with his first cold - he was trying really hard to fight it off, and even got a fever that kept him home from daycare & brought us to the Dr's office so he could see his favorite lady Drs :) Since he had some wheezing along with the cough, we got sent home with a fancy nebulizer. It looks a lot scarier than it is - he actually loved it, probably because between the steamy vapors and the medicine, it brought him sweet relief!
Luckily after a few days of TLC, he's almost all better (with the saddest little hoarse voice!). And here he is showing what a strong little guy he is after getting through a rough week :)

In addition to spending the past week healing up for his big trip, David also learned how to reach up in order to be picked up (cute.. for now :) ), reaches out to let Franklin lick his hand, he stops eating any time I start talking (he'll look up at me smiling, or put his hand up to my mouth), and we think he's SO close to rolling over unassisted! Another exciting week in the Funt household :)
